Uploading to iCloud is paused

I just purchased a new iPhone 13 pro. It set up nice and quick with everything transferred from my old iPhone to the new one with everything identical to the old phone. However, I’m having some issues with iMessage where down at the bottom there is always this message that says uploading to iCloud is paused, plug in your device and connect to Wi-Fi. That is fine when I do that the message goes away however, as soon as I unplug it regardless if I’m connected to Wi-Fi and have a full battery the message returns! It’s annoying seeing it there all the time, is there anyway to remove that message?

i’ve tried turning it on and off again. I’ve tried disconnecting the Wi-Fi and setting it up again. And as I said plugging it into power is the only thing that makes the message go away.

Any other suggestions?

Hi Brenza,

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! It sounds like your messages in iCloud have not finished syncing to your new device. You'll want to leave your device connected to power and Wi-Fi until the process is completed. Depending on the amount of info syncing over, this can take several hours.

Thank you Trish,

I have realise that a long time was needed to update and I did have a very large storage of iMessages. After 24 hours with the phone charging the message has now finally gone away.
