Itunes rental movies won't play windows 11

Over the years I've had numerous problems with iTunes & Windows. I've recently purchased a Dell, Windows 11, so far I've been unable to play rented movies. The movie will download, but when I try to play I get a black screen & nothing happens. If I drag the start further along, same thing. I'm tired of the same answers from Apple. They have no clue. Yes I'm connected to the internet, yes I have the latest version of iTunes. I've uninstalled it & reinstalled it. Same thing. I suspect, despite what they tell you, that iTunes, being an Apple product just doesn't work well on Windows.

Ok, so apart from the usual & useless suggestions as to updating etc. I’ve found that this is not an uncommon problem, just unknown to Apple. The only thing that works is to stream your movies, but I’m unable to figure out how to stream a rented movie. Is this even possible? So my options are to get movies from Google Play, play through my phone, or buy an iPad.
