Cyrillic contacts are placed under #

Cyrillic contacts are placed under # and there is no way to navigate by Cyrillic letters. My iPhone is in English and I don't want to change whole interface to Russian or Ukrainian just to add Cyrillic letters to Contacts app. Is there any other way to add Cyrillic letters to Contacts app?

T9 Search issue on unicode characters I'm Vietnamese, my contacts are saved using unicode character. Some of them can be searched using T9 keypad, some don't. For example "Lâm" can be searched typing 526. But "Đạt" can't be searched by typing 328. Also in the image, typing 328 shows "Trung", but my contacts have 2 names "Dat", is this another issue? This feature is there on android for 10 years and this is what Apple did?

iPhone - Keyboard language changes automatically for a specific contact Hi, I'm writing to discuss a currently non existing feature -- automatic keyboard language change for a particular contact when I use iPhone keyboard. We live in international communities more and more every day and I find it very difficult to constantly manually change keyboard language writing to people (be it text messages, Whatsapp and similar apps, emails etc.). This causes my dictionaries to create bizzare words (because it starts as one language, while I want to write in another), and before I realize it, I have to delete everything, switch the language and write things again. It takes time and with talking to people constantly it grows to be a bigger issue than one might think. The best option would be to assign a primary and secondary language to a contact or base the language on the previous messages if they exist. I tried to find a workaround but didn't manage to. Anyone know about this feature being worked at maybe? (I found a post from 2014 here on apple forum when one of the admins claimed it was being worked at, but 10 years later, no feature). Or does anyone know the workaround?

It's probably the "phonetic" field rather than "nickname" that needs adding.

You can ask Apple to add the feature you need via

You might look in the App Store to see if there's an alternative that handles multiple scripts better.

I think you may need to add nicknames to your Cyrillic contacts.
