How do we use phonetic name on iPhone's Contacts App?

My family name is Dutch.

How do I have to fill the phonetic name field?

Same problem in Mac OS Contact application.

Why does iOS Contacts Sort by Phonetic Name? I've submitted feedback before on the official iPhone Feedback page before (iphone many months ago), but this still hasn't been resolved. When you add a phonetic spelling to a contact card in iOS (or any Apple OS), the Contacts app uses the phonetic spelling to sort the names, rather than the correct legitimate name spelling. The phonetic spelling should be used for just that: phonetics and pronunciation. It shouldn't be used for sorting the name in contacts. This wouldn't be a problem if Siri still had the built-in feature to fix pronunciation, but they removed that I believe in iOS 15 for some reason; so to fix Siri's pronunciation and recognition of differently-spelled than pronounced names, you have to enter a phonetic spelling in the Contacts app. EX: If someone's last name is "Zailafohnn," but it's pronounced "Xylophone," the Contacts app will put the contact card in the completely wrong category under Z instead of under X. iPhone 16 Dictation Misspelling Names My partner‘s name is Kelci. Whenever I dictate her name, my iPhone 16 spells it “Kelsey.” I have done everything I can to fix this. I’ve dictated it, highlighted the misspelled word, spelled it correctly, and it’s still not being trained to spell it correctly. I have added a text replacement to replace “Kelsey” with “Kelci.” I have removed all contacts in my phone that are spelled Kelsey. I have added the phonetic field to her contact as well as the pronunciation field to her contact, to no avail. I dictate her name all the time, so this is incredibly annoying. Any ideas how to fix this? Is there anyway to train dictation to recognize certain pronunciations? [Re-Titled By Moderator]

By adding or editing a contact go to the bottom of the contact screen where it says ‘ add field’ here you can simply add whatever applies for you to be admitting to the contact.
