create keyboard command to create strikethru text in Mac Notes

thanks to Viking OSX and his August 2017 posts, I now have strikethru on the Mac Notes menu, along with bold, italic, and underline.

unlike bold, italic, and underline, though, strikethru has no keyboard combo to save time when using strikethru

how do I give strikethru a keyboard combo (such as command option S or some other)? i want it to be available each time I use Notes

On Notes > Format > Font sub-menu, there is a Strikethrough menu entry without any keyboard shortcut assigned. You can fix this via System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > App Shortcuts panel. Click the [+] button and enter the following content, then click Add.

Back in Notes, select some text, and press control+s (^s). A strikethrough will be in that selection. To undo, click ^s again.
