Find my does not work

Why doesn’t find my work? I get an error that states “Unable to connect to server. Please try again later.”

Being able to use the Find My app to locate your devices is a great feature. We'll do our best to help figure out how to overcome this obstacle. To start, we'd like to ask a few questions.


  • What's the exact version of iOS 15 you have installed? This is in Settings > General > About.
  • Are you connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data? Does this issue persist on both?
  • Are you viewing this in the Find My app? If not, where are you seeing this message?
  • Have you tried restarting your device?
  • How about connecting to a different Wi-Fi network or rebooting your current connection, to see if the issue persists?
