Scanned two documents; now can't find them

I am running Big Sur with an Epson V600. The two documents scanned OK (after I added the scanner again), but now I have no idea where they are. Not in Documents. Not in Photos. Cannot find folder for scans. This is legal stuff that I have to email, so I really could use some help. Thank you.

You might find them in the Pictures folder — not the Photos Library. I mention that only because you may have been opening the Photos app, expecting to find them there.

~/Pictures

To open that folder, copy the entire line above and paste it in the Finder's Go menu > Go to Folder... field:

Thanks to both of you for answering. First of all, I did not select a destination while I still had the scanner on.🙄 I don’t know how to use any of this stuff. I figured Apple would put it wherever it wanted to. Then I thought I could figure that out, but I couldn’t. “Pictures” is a good idea; I was indeed looking under photographs. By now, however I have photocopied the documents and put them in the snail mail. Sigh. Some of us are hopeless!

Thank you both.
