Can I download any applications supported by apple's for em to read my em on apple tv?

Apple TV (4th generation or later) supports apps from the App Store – but that is the Apple TV App Store. Developers will have to create versions of their apps for Apple TV, to be available on that device. It is a different platform than iOS/iPadOS/macOS (which are also not interchangeable per se). Additionally there will be minimum system requirement for OS version.
If an app is made available for various Apple devices, then usually you can use it with your account on any of those devices interchangeably.
