To charge an iPad (your iPad Air5 - as indicated by the tags appended to your post) that has a USB-C connector, you will require either:
a) A USB-C Power Adapter and a USB-C to USB-C cable. By example:
https://store.apple.com/uk/xc/product/HN892ZM/A
b) A 12W USB Type-A Power Adapter and a USB Type-A to USB-C cable
https://store.apple.com/uk/xc/product/MM093ZM/A
You’ll not be able to use a USB/USB-C to Lightning cable to charge your iPad.

Let me amend my last comment. If it has a Lightning to USB-C cable in the box (what happens now) and a Lightning port, then any Apple OEM or MFi Lightning cable should work for power and data. Even a Lightning to USB-A cable. Those only provide 5V though.
iPad Air 5 uses USB C. There is no lighting connector on the iPad. What aren't you using the charging plug and cable which came with your iPad?
No.
