Final Cut Pro does not display font correctly

I'm on Monterey 12.4 and FCPX 10.6.3. Final Cut Pro doesn't display quotation marks, apostrophies, or commas in Neue Montreal font properly. If you copy and paste from a document into the text field it does, but if you type it directly into the box, it doesn't display correctly.

Neue Montreal's quotation marks are the style of a dot with a tail and features open and closed quotes, but they just show up as a simple line like this font does (' " ,). I've used this font in Premier and After Affects and it displays correctly when you type it in.

Is this a bug?
