The disk wasn't ejected because one or more programs may be using it - advanced

Hi,

2017 MacBook Pro 15, Monterey 12.4.

I keep my iTunes library on an external 2TB LaCie drive. I can never eject it without force ejecting. I've tried:

  1. Quitting all open apps
  2. Relaunching finder
  3. Disabling Spotlight indexing for the drive

Still cannot eject.

I ran sudo lsof | grep /Volumes/diskname in Terminal to see what's up. This is what it shows:

mds 111 root 20r DIR 1,13 748 2 /Volumes/Tangelo
AMPLibrar 757 dustindriver 3u REG 1,13 3684119 265021 /Volumes/Tangelo/Archives/Music/iTunes/Music 1/Music Library.musiclibrary/Library.musicdb

Looks like the iTunes library is being accessed, right? The Apple Music app is closed.

Any advice on how to handle this?
