Permanently locked Apple ID

On July 1, In the middle of the night, my wife’s account got logged out. She tried to log back in & she was told that the account was not active. She called & apple support activated it.

It happened again on July 8 & again in the middle of the night. Apple Support had it reactivated again but then said if it gets deactivated again, it’ll be permanently deactivated…without telling us why this is happening or how to fix it. Now senior advisors at Apple Support are saying they can’t do anything. Her phone won’t let her download apps or login to anything. She’s mainly concerned about her photos. Used the cloud but can not login to access them. Also, subscriptions. Would we have to add them to a new account? Can we join an account with an old one?

Has anyone ever seen this? Any suggestions on how to fix it, if we can? Thanks in advance.

Try having your spouse log into the Apple ID via iCloud.com

Go to account settings and make sure that you recognize all devices that the user is signed into using Apple ID.

It would also be a good practice to change the Apple ID password since you have been experiencing issues just for peace of mind that the account hasn't been compromised.

Make sure the device is saving/backing up data to the iCloud account or an alternate.
