If I purchase an iPhone in Switzerland and subsequently move to England can I claim for a faulty unit in England during the balance of the warranty period?

Exceptions? I'm thinking the service manager might be in a good mood. The reasons cited vary by the terms applicable in the country.
These are the current warranty terms for the United States, but these are pretty typical for any iPhone warranty terms.
Legal - iOS Warranty Document Us - Apple
IMPORTANT RESTRICTION FOR iPHONE, iPAD, APPLE TV and HOMEPOD SERVICE.
Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and HomePod to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device.
So I looked it up and it's a bit more complicated because they combine the European Economic Area and Switzerland together as a single "location" where one can obtain warranty service for iPhones or cellular iPads. The United Kingdom has never been a part of the EEA. I used a translation tool to try to figure it out. The translation from French makes more sense to me.

A phone bought in any EU country is covered in any other EU country. And I think Switzerland is included in that, even though it isn’t technically an EU country (being a neutral country). Before Brexit that included England also; I don’t know if Brexit changed that. So you need to ask Apple; here is a list of Apple phone numbers worldwide→Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support

I looked it up and technically it's the single market that consists of the European Economic Area plus Switzerland. And the EEA includes non EU members like Norway and Iceland. But for the OP I'm not sure it works since the UK is no longer part of the EEA.
It gets really weird because there's also some customs market too but some members of the EEA aren't part of it. However, I think for the OP's purposes, it might be possible to get warranty service on a visit to the EEA. Maybe even Ireland.
Not generally. There can be exceptions.
Many thanks for the very quick response. Can you give me an idea about possible exceptions please?
Actually, UK was in the EEA until Brexit.
Brilliant - thanks for all your research.
y-p-w and Lawrence.
Thank you so much - I now have enough understanding of the situation to be able to approach Apple sensibly.
