Apple ID password

My nephew set up my mother-in-laws iPad under his Apple ID. He doesn’t remember his password. The devise has been totally wiped clean but can’t be reset up without that password. How can I get her back up and running?

How do I sign into my daughters iPhone when she forgot her Apple ID password How do I sign in to my daughters Apple ID when she has forgotten her password. I told me to go to this website to reset her password, but I’m not seeing that option.

If he forgot the Apple ID (iCloud) password, enter the Apple (iCloud) ID, and click Forgot Password. See if he can get a Rescue or Notification email option if necessary. Link to contact Apple Support at the end of the 2nd article.
