Mouse keeps grabbing and highlight things without commanding it to

This is very irritating.

When I go to click a safari window, the mouse sometimes sticks to the page and drags it around. Or it will highlight text when ever I try and move it around. Also I wont be able to exit pages because of this. I recently downloaded an update for the support the trackpad. It doesn't appear that my mouse is sticking, or any keys are sticking. Anyone know anything about this problem?

Thanks!

Go to System Preferences > Universal Access >Seeing.
Turn Zoom off.

Or just press the Apple/Command key along with the Option Key and the number 8 key.
That's probably how it got messed up . . . accidental keyboard shortcuts.

Count me in as suffering from this issue. I had posted the following in another post that seems to be complaining about the same issue:

Pretty annoying - it's happening to me as well . I can imagine it might be a problematic interaction with some other software I'm running. Possible contenders that were installed around the time I started noticing this are BetterTouchTool, MenuEverywhere and Mobile Air Mouse Server. I'd be interested if you can confirm that you use any of these.

This is REALLY getting annoying!! Is it hardware? I find it hard to believe it is, because it's only started doing it as of lately. One thing I'm trying is: going into my "Trackpad" settings under "System Preferences". Then in here under "One Finger", "Dragging", I unchecked "Dragging". I can still drag but need to click and hold it in order for it to work. Bit of a hassle but if it fixes the issue for now, it's better for me! I'll see if that helps and post my results.

Got the same problem, I think. It often happens when using the magic trackpad to move a window by clicking and holding in the title bar of the window. I tried to avoid this by using bettertouchtool, but this grabbing/highlighting bug still occurs! Most often I notice the bug, when I'm trying to type something into the active window and nothing happens... then I have to click around for some seconds until the active window responds to my keyboard!
