Back button (iPhone 12)

Hi,

Today all of a sudden I noticed that the back button on the top left corner of my screen is missing.

I have tried rebooting phone, and it did not help.

Please advice how to fix this issue.

What back button?

Some apps include such a link (mail for example). You might also see such a link back to an app if it takes you to another. Eg. If a Flipboard link takes you to a Safari page you may see the back arrow to Flipboard. Otherwise, there is no general back button.

That only appears if the previous app links you out to something. For example, If I open a link in Mail that uses Safari, I'll see an arrow with Mail at the top left of Safari. But, if I then open Reminders, or anything else, I will then not have a back arrow link to Safari.

No, There used to be an arrow with the latest used app on the top left corner of the screen. It is there for all apps, and that is missing all of a sudden.
