Xcode download issue

I have tried to download Xcode several times but keep being told I don't have enough disk capacity but when I check my Mac, there is plenty of space. Any suggestions?

Not enough storage to download Xcode I wanted to download Xcode on my MacBook Pro but no matter how much I delete, I don't have enough storage for the app. My MacBook has 120gb, less than 30gb of that includes all my files, applications, pictures etc, 12gb is under "Other" and a huge 50gb is under "System Data". Xcode Installation After downloading Xcode from the App Store, I am unable to move to the installation step. The download bar shows the process isn't finished but reads 7.76 of 7.76 GB regardless.

Can't download because not enough storage on disk. Trying to download but I keep getting a message that I do not have enough storage on my disk. Can I download a newer version but not the absolute newest version of software?
