Cannot verify Apple ID

I log in to either iCloud or AppleID with my me.com Apple ID and it tells me I need to verify, and then I get a cannot verify “this email address is not available choose a different address” error. Both addresses I have tried are my Apple IDs. Both give the same error.

solved it, can’t have both Apple IDs be recovery ids for each other.
