Messenger on ipad

How do I enter contacts to messenger? I do not have an iPhone or any cell phone, just email.

Unable to send iMessages to myself on my iPhone X When sending a "text" message to myself using my iPhone X, it only sends SMS messages (green bubble). I cannot send iMessage (blue bubble) to myself using my iPhone. There is no issue with sending iMessages to all my other contacts, the only issue is with sending to myself when using my iPhone X with iOS 16.0.2 installed. I am able to send iMessages (blue bubble) from my MBP 2015 and 2021 versions all the time with no issues. After syncing, my iPhone X shows MBP iMessage with blue bubbles. How to fix and keep it fixed? I've tried restarting, signing out/in to iCloud, disable/enable iMessages on both iPhone and MBP. Help! Paul

I'm assuming you are asking about Facebook Messenger? If yes, give access to your contacts in Messenger, by going to:

Settings > Messenger > Turn on Contacts, which will permit Messenger to access the contacts you have stored in the Contacts app on your iPad.
