Recently I am seeing Paragraph symbols everywhere. This is new. How do I eliminate these, as It's very distracting?

View menu.
Choose Hide Invisibles.
Or press shift-command-I (letter i ).
You will continue to see paragraph breaks when you have selected a block of text in which they have been used.

Thank you. I do read the manual, but had no idea they were called invisibles.
