Nikon DSLR Camera to MacBook Air

How do I download photos from my Nikon7000 camera to my MacBook Air? There isn’t a USB port or SD card reader

Two approaches:

Simply get a micro USB to USB-C cable.

or

A dongle that has SD card capability and a USB-C connector.


Personally, I purchased this dongle and it works just fine and has both USB-C and USB-A connectors:
