Is there anyway to disable one key on macbook pro keyboard?

I have a 2019 16-inch MacBook pro. my number 6 key is stuck. Sometimes it doesn't work at all, sometimes it does, and sometimes it just keeps typing 666666666666666 nonstop to the point that I can't really watch a video or type...

I've been to genius bar, and they say it's a sensor issue that's gonna cost more than 700USD to fix, not because I spilled anything or a single key fixable problem. Now I just want to disable the 6 key altogether. Is there any way to do so without using any third-party software? Thanks!

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 12.4

What you have is an indicator or a current small problem and a future larger problem. When something malfunctions there's a reason and often times if you "let things go" they get worse.

There are times you just have to fork over the cash. It's a bit like backing up to plan for future data problems, the need to provide funds for repairs is inherent in buying everything now days it seems.
