Thanks for reading. I’ve convinced my boss to replace their Dell with a MacBook. Working with large CC files and it SOOOOO slow. Any idea what I should equip it with for heavy PS and AI?

Clean install of Sierra from Big Sur ? I just bought a used MacBook Air for live music performance ( "Core i7" 1.7 11" Mid-2013 ). It will basically be a single-purpose machine, repeatedly taking music plug-ins, files and settings from my studio production Mac and using them in a live (Ableton) environment. Since my studio Mac runs High Sierra (10.12.6) , to avoid any APFS complications I want to have my Air likewise running 10.12.6 ( it arrived loaded with Big Sur 11.7.1 , but was originally 10.8.4 ). My cautious question is, can I just fire ahead, go to the App Store and do a clean install of Sierra on my Air, or are there possible complications involved in going back to a pre-APFS operating system? (There are currently no files of my own on the machine, it's just out the box...)

Samsung T7 running slow after Ventura's update Hi. I purchased a Samsung T7 hard drive some years ago and I usually used on my Mac mini with M1 chip without problem. The write and read speeds were between 500 - 600 mb/s. But, after I update to Ventura, the write speed dropped to 90mb/s. I tried formatting the drive, freeing up space, etc... Nothing worked. ¿There's something I can do? I need the hardrive for my work. Thank you

big sur or catalina? I have Macbook pro 2020, Intel i5, 8 GB. I was given a friend and they installed macOS Ventura in it, and it hung very badly. After a short use, I reinstalled on macOS Monterey 12.6.2. And anyway, when you work on 4-5 windows at once, the laptop gets very hot, the fans are constantly noisy (((. and I don't want to work. Tell me please! for stable, silent and lag-free operation, install on macbook macOS big sur or macOS catalina? even if these systems freeze, I will sell this laptop 😂 It's just annoying.)

Have your IT people downloaded Antivirus or cleanup tools on these Mac's? If yes, they cause all sorts of issues and are simply unnecessary. I have a full subscription to the Adobe Cloud and the apps work quite well and fast on my MacBook Pro. Are you sure you're using software which was optimized for M1 Silicone as opposed to Intel based Mac's?
