I've considering buying a 2013 iMac and I'm aware that the RAM is not upgradeable, so I just wanted to confirm that is 8GB of RAM enough for MacOS? These are the programs I plan to use on the computer:
4K Video Downloader
Microsoft 365
Microsoft Edge
Scratch 3
VLC Media Player
Wondershare DemoCreator

iMac Line (2012 and Later)
You're welcome. I'm not familiar with Scratch 3 but other than that, they all currently run in Catalina. However, any update to the Microsoft products may not be supported once macOS Ventura is released.
The only limitation would be how many apps you can have open at one time.
Just to add, the latest version of macOS you could run is Catalina 10.15.7.

Ok, thank you for your assistance. Scratch 3 is a free coding platform that is targeted towards kids but I use it to create episodes for TV Channel VEST TV on YouTube.
