Just wondering OP if the advice above resolved the issue? This thread has been marked as “solved” - I have the same issue, and have followed the same steps and it doesn’t fix.
I also have a pre-existing Apple TV+ account that is also already signed in on a number of devices, including another firecube (2nd gen). Trying to sign in on a new firecube (2nd gen) and I’m hit with the verification failed error
I’ve noticed this is a long-standing issue too, with threads and posts going back years!!
This is what greedy Apple wants people to return their Amazon or 3rd party devices and buy Apple devices. I don't understand how I have no issue loging into AppleTV app with my Firestick 4k, but my Firecube AppleTV App doesn't offer the same way to login?? Yet both devices say they have the same version of App 9.1
Pre -exiting account. I’m able to log in on a web browser, older Amazon fire stick, iPhone and iPad with 2 step- verification no problem .

No the issue wasn’t solved after attempting every step mentioned in the previous threads. Returning to Amazon for a refund.
