iCloud not syncing

I am in the cloud with iPhones and one Macbook Air and they are all up-to-date. My Mac is not syncing with iPhone and neither is iCloud online. I only noticed it with one Contact which is missing from Mac and when I go online to iCloud but it is on the iPhones. I also just tested it by adding a new contact to iPhone but that too does not show on Mac or online.

I signed out of iCloud on Mac, turned Mac off, rebooted, and signed in but it did not help. I am afraid to do the same on iPhones in case I lose them.

Any ideas?

Contacts - I read somewhere to check the Phone App Groups. My email address was checked, so I unchecked it, turned by Mob off and on and everything now shows 655. I tested all devices adding and deleting contacts and it immediately worked.

Calendar - is still as previous post

We appreciate you giving it a try, megabytes,

It sounds like you may have more than one account to manage your Contacts. Your contacts can also be associated with your email accounts on your devices. You can check on your iPhone if you open the Phone app, choose Contacts then choose Groups in the top left. If you have more than one account, check that they are all checked here.

Kind regards.

Hi megabytes,

Thanks for contacting Apple Support Communities!

It sounds like your Contacts aren't syncing via iCloud on your Mac and iPhone, correct?

If so, check out the troubleshooting steps outlined in this article to help you to isolate this behavior further: If your iCloud Contacts, Calendars, or Reminders won’t sync - Apple Support

We hope this helps.

Cheers!

I tried everything in that link over and over again and nothing is helping. One thing I was not sure about, was when I signed out of iCloud then signed back in it asked me to merge and I said no thinking it would avoid duplicates.

To give you an idea of the problems:

Calendar - when I add something to test on Mac it takes about 5 minutes to show on iPhone. When I add something to test on iPhone shows immediately on Mac

I don't know how to see if everything on the Calendars are the same. Is there a way to do this?

Contacts - It changes and I don't know why.

iPhone 11 Pro = was 706, now 707

iPhone 7 = 364 to 758 to 364 to 758

Macbook Air = 364 to 655

iCloud - 654 to 655

Please help
