Scosche baselynx modular charging system kit

I have bought scosche baselynx modular charging system kit 2 days ago but when I charge my iphone 13 pro on it the phone gets very hot.

am I doing anything wrong or does anyone know why this is happening.

I have tried it with the case on and with it off.

I have also got my Apple Watch charging on it but that’s ok
