MacBook Air M2 Charging with USB C?

With the new MagSafe charger, can the MacBooks still be charged with the USB C port?

Asking this because a lot of new monitors have USB C charging and display support.

Display AND Charging through the one plug.

I've just purchased 2 new monitors with this feature, but wondering if I've lost the advantage and now need this.

Cheers
