I would like to download the old version of Picasa to use for quick photo editing, is there a safe site to get it from? Does it work well with macbook pro? I have Adobe for big projects I just want the fast quick features Picasa had.

The last version of Picasa released for macOS was in Oct 2015 (v3.9.141.306). If that is 32-bit software, or its 2015 compilation is incompatible with Monterey, it will not work.
Picasa was 32bit. It's no longer available in any case.
