Apple ID verification code - exclude devices

I know I can remove a device from my Apple account so it no longer is a "Trusted device".

By doing so my Apple ID will no longer be connected on it.

However, I need the Apple ID to keep using the App Store.

Is there a way to keep the device linked with my Apple ID but not entitle to receive verification codes on it?
