Don't always see graph while ECG running

sometimes when I run the ECG app I can see the wave form of my heart beat. Other times, it is not there. Why is this? I want to always see it while the app is running.

ECG doesn't come up when searching the browse tab in Apple health app I recently heard that I can export a pdf of an ECG I have taken with my apple watch. I can't find ECG in the Apple health app anywhere. I tried searching it in the browse tab and it returns zero results.
