move whatsapp from android to iphone failed when importing chats

I have followed official instruction as directed in WhatsApp’s FAQ

I meet all requirements, I’m on iOS 15.6 on my factory reset iPhone 13 Pro Max, and move to iOS app has worked perfectly on my old android device.


The problem is when I open the recently downloaded and activated WhatsApp on my iPhone and the app crashes when it reaches 97% on the importing process…

Since iOS 15.6 has only been recently released by Apple, the process might not work anymore correctly and the developers of WhatsApp will have to solve this.
