I cleaned my keyboard for my mac without turning it off. Now when I type a letter 4 characters show up in place of it. How do I fix this?

Delete key automatically deletes space after the final letter with just one delete button press. Sometimes when I'm typing, I need to delete an incorrect first letter to a word I'm trying to type, but when I go ahead and press the delete key once, something like this happens: "Today I woke up tired, hoping toarrive earlier thananticipated...". As you can see, the issue is not that the delete key receives the input twice, because this never happens when I delete a letter within a word, but rather when there is a space between the previously typed word and the incorrect letter I am trying to delete. I also tried some recommendations relating to "sticky keys", that are: 1. Turning Key repeat, in keyboard settings, off. 2. Keep delay before repeat, in the same settings, as "long". And 3. Uninstalling any keyboard software. So, as you can see, this can get really annoying real fast, when trying to type for long periods of time. I've got a 14" Macbook pro, that is only 4 months new. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I see. Well my only guesses are it did get moisture or too much pressure applied to the keys. If you have access to another Mac try it with that, or contact Apple.

It did not get wet.
