How can I disable the "People and Places" feature?

Okay, so I've been having a constant issue with this feature. I have pictures on my device of my friends and family that I do not want to appear on the People and Places album. I've tried removing them from the album but they reappear the next day. I've tried the "These aren't this person" option in hopes of removing them that way, but they still reappear. I've even tried the "Feature this person less" option but it doesn't remove the photos. I've deleted these pictures from this album no less than 10 times and absolutely nothing is working. Is there a way to disable this feature in its entirety? If not, what should I do to prevent these photos from constantly appearing on this album?
