Hello, every morning when I wake up my screen brightness is lowered. I normally have it on almost max. Why is that?

I don’t have night mode activated

Good day to you MagnusMo,

You mentioned noticing the display brightness changed but only in the morning. We’d like to ask a couple questions -

  • Is your device charging overnight?
  • Do you have to raise the brightness again or does it come up to brightness on its own?
  • Do you notice anything similar if you leave your iPhone asleep for several hours during the day?

Additionally, you mentioned not using True Tone or Night Shift and that you don’t have your iPhone shift from light to dark automatically. Is Auto-Brightness enabled in Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size. Adjust the brightness and color temperature on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Thanks.

Hi, yes this only happened during night when I charge the phone. And it does not rise back to 80% brightness unless I manually do it. I do have Auto brightness enabled. I also tried to do a factory reset but that does not help. Also I try to create a workaround for this issue by creating an automated shortcut that raises the brightness, but apparently that shortcut cannot be run when the screen is locked :(
