m1 mac mini out of range

I would test a short USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 cable,

or a short Premium Certified HDMI as hcsitas suggest's.

Use the HDMI port with a cable 5’ or less. The mini isn’t spec’ed to work beyond 60Hz.

Doesn’t matter, upgrades frequently close spec holes. Use the HDMI port with a 5’ or less cable. Good luck!
