m1 mac mini out of range

My M1 Mac Mini just updated to MAC OS Monterey 12.4

I'm running a Samsung G3 32 curved monitor

after the update the monitor comes on but gives me an “out of range” box in the center of the display.

when I go into display preferences the max refresh rate I can select is 30hz even though this monitor is capable of 165hz

monitor is connected to the display port.

Any ideas?

The latest update to Monterey is 12.5 see > Find out which macOS your Mac is using - Apple Support

I would test a short USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 cable,

or a short Premium Certified HDMI as hcsitas suggest's.
