Voiceover speed problem

My dad is blind and uses the voiceover feature on his Iphone11.

Does Anyone know why the voiceover will change its speed rate on its own? It goes from where dad keeps speed rate on 51 to soooo fast can’t hardly understand it.

if so how do I correct it?

CarPlay voice change after iOS 16.2 update I’ve recently updated my iPhone 13 Mini to iOS 16.2, and since then the voice used for the CarPlay (2020 VW Golf GTI) is very muffled and distant. It was crystal clear previously, now I can hardly make out what it being said. Has anyone else experienced this, is there a fix?

Voiceover speaks "pause equals 711" on every icon My wife just upgraded to iOS 16.5 and now Voiceover pronounces "pause equals 711" on every icon as she navigates. As she goes from icon to icon it says the name of the icon like it should, then adds "pause equals 711". I am also at 16.5, I turned Voiceover on and it does not do that for me. We both have iPhone 12s. I told her this sounds like a debug statement that some Apple developer left in, except it does not do that for me. Any ideas ?

Have you looked in Settings/Accessibility/Voiceover there is a slider for Speaking Rate from Turtle to Rabbit (Slow to Fast). See if that helps.
