IPad Magic Keyboard Tab and Caps Lock keys not working at all

2021 iPad Pro 12.9”, iOS 15.6.

I hadn’t used my Magic Keyboard in a couple months (I was on travel, and used a more robust case since I wouldn’t need to be typing much) and now my tab and caps lock keys don’t work at all. The LED doesn’t come on for Caps Lock, the Tab does nothing. Used an online keyboard tester to see if there was any signal coming from the keyboard, and nada. I was hoping to find a firmware update or something that explains the issue. Really frustrating to think a $300 keyboard didn’t survive a year. Any help, ideas, or insights are appreciated!

You would be best advised to seek assistance the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to hands-on test and assess your iPad and Magic Keyboard:
