Thanks for your reply, Tony. You remind me to re-think my issue with the perspective of purpose rather than just approach. Great reminder and thank you.

My situation is like below:

I classify new shooting photos and drag them into different albums on the sidebar to make them organized monthly or longer. The album list on the sidebar is quite long... I need to keep repeating "select photos - scroll the sidebar up - drag photos into the right album - select photos - scroll the sidebar down - drag...." In short, the issue is I need to keep repeating "scroll the sidebar to choose several albums to organize photos". Sometimes the albums I frequently use or recent use has 2 or 3 screen distance between them. The distance is very easy to make me move the photos into the wrong albums during scrolling and dragging. This is where my idea of a "recently used albums" list comes from.

Hope my clarification explains clearly.

Thank you again.

Also - what are you trying to achieve (perhaps there is another way)?

What would the different albums show - surely recents just show recents - what would a second recents show?

Would it help if you grouped the albums into folders (and subfolders?). Folders can be expended or collapsed, thus reducing the length of the album list.

You could even create a folder called (eg) working. Then drag all the albums you want to work on into that folder. They will then all be listed together in the expanded folder. Drag them back into the normal location in the list when finished working.

Thanks for your reply, Tony. Actually I'm organizing albums with folders and subfolders.

You're right, creating a folder as a temporary workplace for in-using albums could be a solution. If this is the right direction, why not make it automatic? A smart folder/list or whatever will be created for recent-used albums automatically. This is where my request comes from.
