Can I somehow disable automatic uploading of photos from the gallery to iCloud?

Yes, you can simply turn it off from Settings-AppleID-iCloud-Photos. That will also mean that you will not have back-up of your photos.

Only upload photos to iCloud Hello all I was wondering if there was a way to only upload photos to icloud, instead of downloading the photos from all other devices? This would help to conserve storage space.
