Changing a passcode on an iPad

I have a used iPad Pro and want to change the passCODE so I can use my finger print to open it. How do I change the passcode. When I read online instructions they say tells to go to settings and look for Face ID and Passcode or Touch ID and Passcode. I don’t see either of those under Settings on my iPad. Does that mean it doesn’t offer the Touch option?

Your daughter needs to wipe the iPad and bring it back to new for you, so you can set it up yourself.

If you don't see this setting on this used iPad, it is either under Managed Services from a school or business or the ability to change the Passcode is locked in Screen Time.

How did you get this used iPad? It clearly was never prepared properly for a new user. Do you know the Apple ID and Apple ID Password, which was used to set up the iPad? Can you return the iPad and get your money back?

You may well have been scammed here.
