Switching network provider and having iMessage problems

Not a question but a solution: after 1 week spent with apple support to solve the issue after multiple attempts, it just takes a NETWORK setting reset to solve the problem related to the impossibility of using iMessage/Facetime with the phone number after switching the provider but maintaining the same number

For the full process:

How to swap SIM card for a new provider

If you change numbers, or are using a temporary number pending porting, make sure both numbers are in the security section of your AppleID.apple.com account as trusted numbers before starting.

You then need to do this:

Settings, Messages, Turn off iMessage

Settings, Face Time, Turn off Face Time

Swap SIM cards

If changing providers, reset network settings.

Settings, Messages, Turn on iMessage, SMS, MMS

Settings, Face Time, Turn on Face Time
