Mouse and Keyboard severely lagging after upgrading to Monterey

This question was posted before and claimed to be solved but the solution is absurd. The user plugged in the keyboard and mouse to a hub.

That's not possible with my bluetooth magic mouse because its not usable when its plugged in since the cord is on the bottom.

You do not say what exact Mac is this...?

Have you rebooted more than once since your "upgrade to Monterey" (?)

So is this Internal or external your issue—it is most unclear from your post...

If it is Intel Mac try resetting NVRAM/PRAM Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

(get at least two-three rounds of the chimes when holding the NRAM Reset)

Do you have any antivirus or cleanup apps install, they have a reputation for causing problems and neither are required on modern MacOS.
