Troubleshooting Mac Charge:

Refer to the following....

A. Reset the SMC and your NVRAM:

(Applies to Intel-Based Macs Only): Sometimes when changes are made to the system(i.e. Updates), system configurations (i.e. for Power) become manipulated, technically. So, reset the SMC and NVRAM. Try performing each thrice. It may take sometime, being certain you have the time to perform these resets.

B. Try a New Charger:

• Power & Cables - Mac Accessories - Apple - Select "Mac Compatibility" on the left
• Find the Right Power Adapter and Cable for your Mac Notebook - Apple Support

Were you able to resolve this issue? My MacBook Air M2 also wouldn't charge.

We tried to charge my computer with my husband's charger (different computer - a MacBook Pro).

Then when he tried to charge his computer with his own charger it no longer worked.

We returned my computer, and his cable was replaced.

Now my replacement computer is having the same issue. We obviously won't try my charger in his MacBook this time. My computer will charge with a random USB-C we have in the house. This seems to be an issue with the mag safe port on my M2 MacBook Air breaking the USB-C cables.
