Songs in Music library won’t play thru Bluetooth

I have AudioEngine HD3 speakers with Bluetooth connectivity.

I have no issues whatsoever playing streaming audio from my phone through these speakers, for example through the SiriusXM app. or the YouTube app. But if I use Apple Music and start playing any song from my library — which is stored on the phone — the Bluetooth connection drops almost instantly, and the song stops playing.

Help please!

Hi Renroht,

Since having the latest software installed can help with overall performance, make sure you're running the latest iOS version (15.6): Get the latest software updates from Apple

Although you don't notice this behavior with SiriusXM and YouTube, check to see if there's a firmware update available for your Bluetooth speaker as well.

If the issue persists, review the following article, which will help with reducing wireless interference: Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference

Some suggestions from the article:

  • Bring the Bluetooth devices that are connecting to each other closer together.
  • Avoid using your wireless devices near common sources of interference, such as power cables, microwave ovens, fluorescent lights, wireless video cameras, and cordless phones.

Best regards.
