@ symbol in german keyboard
In my MacBook air I can't type @ by typing option + L please help.
MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.4
The newer Mac German layout uses Option Q instead.

What happens when you press Option-L?
Open the Keyboard Viewer.
If you hold the Option key and click the respective key in the Keyboard Viewer, does it produce @?
This showa on viewr when you press Option-L but I can not type
