iPhone X breaks up on WIFi even with new WIFI

I have had intermittent breaking up on my iPhoneX even with new WIFI. My iPad can get connections (as a test I used it). I have made many adjustments like for AirPods use and also for background noise. Still have issues. Any suggestions.

iPhone X, iOS 15

Raicya's reply to my problem was immediate & extensive. And I am saving it bkz there are many ideas for future use. However, since I mentioned that my iPad received calls & were clear I have to rule out all info regarding my WIFI.

(And it was in the back bedroom, not as close as my phone was to the wifi signal.)

I didn't mention that I did check to see if I was on the WIFI connection on my iPhone. I bring this up in case someone else is having the same issues & that Raicya & fellow experts might look beyond this issue. Thanks to all of you who have the knowledge and information and are willing to share it. I am grateful.
