Notifications go to old phone

I recently upgraded my iphone from the iphone XS Max to a iphone 13 pro. I turned on notifications for the majority of apps on for my new phone. For some reason I still do not get notifications for most of my apps. The notifications appear on my old phone even after it was powered off. Is there a way I could fix this?

iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 15

Hey Ciara!

If you haven't already, double-check the notification settings on your new iPhone to make sure they're set to suit your needs. When checking the settings, make sure "Banners" is selected. Here's a great guide to help, just in case: Use notifications on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

If the settings all look good, check Do Not Disturb and Focus to make sure these aren't enabled:

Use Do Not Disturb on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

Use Focus on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Keep us posted on the results.

Take care!
