Logitech Combo Touch Trackpad fixed
I had issues after installing the control app - the keyboard works but the trackpad doesn't respond.
I saw previous responses suggesting pressing QWE + Alt on the screen, but it didn't work for me. Then I tried QWE + the globe key at the bottom left corner (see detailed instruction below), and it worked this time!

Hi u/T-H-I-N-K-E-R,
Logitech has introduced a new iPadOS App called “Logitech Control” that allows for firmware updates and greater customization of your Logitech iPad Case. This app is available in the App Store and can be downloaded directly onto your iPad. We recommend you install this to keep up-to-date on firmware for your compatible device.
During firmware updates, it is highly important that you do not use the keyboard or touchpad during the process, and ensure that the keyboard stays connected and that the app is open. The best method to accomplish this is to place the device into “Typing Mode” on a flat surface without risk of the keyboard being disconnected.
In the event that you are applying a firmware update and the keyboard becomes disconnected or the app is closed, this may result in an incomplete firmware update causing some functionality of your device being lost. If this happens, then you can force the firmware update by following the below directions:
- Open Logitech Control App; ensure you are on the newest version available in the App Store.
- On screen, using the image of the keyboard within the app, place your fingers on the Q+W+E buttons, once you have placed your fingers on those, touch/press the Globe key on the image of the keyboard.
- If successful, you will see the text below the Logi logo change to “Unlocking Firmware Update”
- After “Unlocking Firmware Update” appears, touch/press the grayed out “FIRMWARE UPDATE AVAILABLE” button.
- The “New Firmware” window will appear and you can touch/press “Start Update” which will re-initiate the firmware update. NOTE: Remember to keep the keyboard attached, the app open, and refrain from using the keyboard or touchpad during the process.
- -Ensure that the Smart Connector on the iPad and the Keyboard are clean and free of debris.
- -Soft Reset the iPad (Press and hold the power button and the home button simultaneously until the iPad reboots and an Apple logo appears on screen, then release the two buttons and test the keyboard once fully booted up)
- -Update iOS to the newest version and test functionality.
- -Let's check if your model is compatible with our iPad App that allows you to update the firmware. Open the App Store on your iPad and search for ""Logitech Control"". Download the App and launch it. If you see an option that says ""Firmware Update Available"" - give that a press. Please note that you will need to keep the keyboard connected the whole time and refrain from using the iPad keyboard or exit the app (otherwise the firmware update may fail!)
- -If another iPad with a SmartConnector is available for testing, please test the keyboard on the other iPad, if it functions with a different iPad, then the keyboard is working as intended and we recommend contacting Apple about the device it is not working with.
