I've uploaded a whole bunch of clips onto Final Cut Pro, I've viewed them once uploaded and work perfectly fine. Once dragged down and put in a 'project' the audio goes out of sync. Why is this happening? I can't work out how to fix it.
I've been using FCP for movies for years, using the same camera and settings & it's suddenly doing this.
Have included clip info.
Does the beginning of the 23.98 project look like this?
Audio missing at the beginning of the project?
What are the project properties? Is the audio out of sync from the beginning? Does it drift out? Is the waveform shifted out of sync? Did you try optimizing the media?
What computer, OS, and FCP versions are you using?
audio is immediately out of sync from the start. It lags straight away & stays at that rate. If i separate the audio and move it along the clip I can match it up. but there are 30 clips, it'd take too long to do that for every one. Yes googled how to optimise media, did that, no change..

thanks for pointing that out, as I said I'm very amateur so don't know what I'm doing with the settings so would have never seen that on my own!! Have made a new project, changed that and it's working.

The clip is 25. The project is 23.98.
Yes frame rate appears to match
I've tried to check as many things as I can think of before asking for help (but I'm very much an amateur so may have missed something)
What is the project frame rate? Does it match the clip's?
If in doubt, press Command-J to open the project inspector.

yes that was literally the answer I had that setting wrong & didn't know that was something I needed to adjust, so all fixed thanks for your advice!
